Materialernes Dag 2: Forbrug, disruption og fremtid fokuserer på at forstå de forandringer, der sker i en branche, når nye teknologier, produkter og services undergraver eller nedbryder de forretningsmodeller og kernematerialer, ens virksomhed/design har været baseret på.
Kombineret med at forstå de kæmpe potentialer, der kan opstå, når man på baggrund af disse forandringer formår at forny ens kernemateriale, for at bidrage til at skabe en ny fremtid bestående af regenerative materialer. Derudover sættes der også på, hvordan vi som designere kan være med til ændre forbrugernes adfærd, for at den nødvendige omstilling skal lykkes.
